Master Jung is the owner and head master of Alpha Tae Kwon Do. He has the rank of 6th Dan (6th degree black belt) and has been teaching Tae Kwon Do in the military or in his own school since 1984.
Master Jung has taught thousands of students on five continents. The numbers are too large, but Master Jung estimates 3,000 to 4,000 of those students have earned at least 1st Dan (1st degree black belt).
During his time teaching in the Korean military he was also a Special Guerrilla Military Trainer to all officers below the rank of General in the Navy Academy, Army and Marine Corps.
Master Jung competed constantly while in the military and in 1985 he was the All Korean National Armed Forces Champion.
Master Jung came to America in 1988 and opened his school in Chelmsford. He has also assisted setting up schools locally in Dracut and Medford and internationally in Iceland and Panama. He has taught after school Tae Kwon Do programs in all of Chelmsford's elementry and middle schools. He coached Massachusetts state gold medalists from 1993 - 1997 while coaching the Massachusettes state Tae Kwon Do team.
Master Jung is also an avid runner and over a 10 year span competed in 2 - 3 marthons per year.
